Dear Reader,
You buy a house with a living room and two bedrooms.
The living room signifies all the activities in your daily life.
You can sleep in either bedroom, because sometimes you dream and sometimes you don’t.
There’s a boundary line; a fence surrounds the house
And you have a small garden at the back.
And that free, open space is the place for your death.
For ordinary people, it is all very normal;
You think you are awake but you are still in the dream world.
Your death is also a dream—
You go to your death with your ego which will not allow you to see reality.
And when you leave the house and look from the street, you say,
Oh, this is the limited area of my house. But I am more free when I go outside.
And this signifies your awareness, and this Pure Awareness tells you—
I am unlimited, and I have a possibility to go deeper. I can find that I AM THAT I AM.
I can find that state where there is no duality. I was thinking so small, but there is no limit.
But it is not possible through thinking or imagination or dreaming; it takes effort.
And there are some people, perhaps like you, who need one more room.
The only place to extend it is at the very top, and you build a meditation room with panoramic windows opening to the vast sky.
Because there is something special we have to do in our life:
To develop awareness and super-consciousness, to allow perception to expand, and to make yourself free.
Because one day you will go to the lawn of your house—inevitably, you will leave your body.
But we as human beings (unlike animals) have an opportunity to develop our awareness—we have the possibility to evolve and grow our consciousness.
We didn’t just come here to find a job, get married, buy a house and a car…
Some people have one or two children; others marry multiple times and have twenty children—
Still they are not satisfied. This is our nature.
If you don’t understand, and if all you want is to live in your small house, this is sufficient.
Carry on with the same routine—going to work, eating, watching, scrolling, sleeping.
It is all up to you.
You can stay as you are or you can evolve your consciousness into superconsciousness.
Meditation is not a path. It is path-less.
These words are based on a satsang or talk given by Yogiraj Prakash Shankar Vyas, who teaches original Kriya Yoga in the direct lineage of Lahiri Mahasaya as a householder. His Guruji, Satya Charan Lahiri, was the grandson of Lahiri Mahasaya.
With love and smiles,
Heidi 🙏
